Title: Bright paddles, easier to find when lost Post by: The_old_man on September 13, 2009, 01:34:00 PM I have already lost one $300+ paddle at an offshore reef and am wondering why they don't make them with some bright colors on them so they are easier to spot in the water when you lose em.

Bright orange - in fact, make them fluorescent green or pink or orange :o

It's like a tennis racket type of grip and as such also helps with the grip of the paddle.

(I ain't no construction worker.... in case your wondering) Title: Re: Bright paddles, easier to find when lost Post by: Moonwalker on October 17, 2009, 04:23:11 AM Easiest and cheapest option is to either spray the blade and handle a bright color - or use electrical tape (red, yellow) and wind it around the shaft. I've seen the pros who SUP'ed Puerto Escondido last year for the SUP comp do this - plus a couple of the guys in Hawaii who surf big stuff.
