I  see your problem, I transported my Starboard 8'5'' the other day on my Toyota and it was about 40 cm between the racks, needles to say, the drive to the beach was very slow.

I am getting ready to purchase either an 11 foot board or a twelve foot board but am worried about transporting it on a roof rack on my subaru because the board will be almost as long as the car.  Even if it's secure, won't it snap in the wind at freeway speeds?  The distance between the roof racks is only about four feet.  That means lots of the board to stick out at either end.

I think anything over 30'' will really affect the rail to rail surfing abilities. It will make the board more stable ( which is something you don't really want for surfing)

I think 30 wide and thivk but with steprails is the solution.

Any1 else?

Hi everyone.

I am thinking about buying a PSH Bamboo SUP for my girlfriend ( she likes the wood look, i know, i know  Kiss )

I'd like to know how heavy those boards are, I am thinking about the 9'4'' Ripper. Any reviews?

Thanks
carl

We do pretty good with the sup-er tray makes fishing and diving easy. You don't have to worry about the gear so you can focus on the task at hand. The sup is great for diving it has less drag than a float flag.
I also have a sweet harness to keep the  paddle and rod on your waste. The harness is not on the website yet, it's all in the works.

Short and wide  versus short and thick

In case you are wondering, the dude is talking  SUP boards.  Wink

There's multiple ways to gain volume in the boards, but what is the most efficient way to achieve a more surfy feel on a board?

I fish and dive off my board, down here flat is most the time. When the waves are real good i surf when it's ok I sup. I use my sup more than my boat now it just changes things up and adds a new twist to fun. Sups have way more use than just surf.

Wow that's very cool
Catch much?

So I do both, and have been trying to find info on the 2 sports.

Some manufacturers like Naish , Bic starboard etc make SUP boards that 1 can windsurf with, but how about the other way around, using a windsurf board to do some SUP?

Windsurfer boards are probably stronger and lighter.

Any1 got any feedback?

Both options are far from ideal.
